Country life

Well we did it! The big move out of the city and just outside of the town of Beaverlodge. We moved from a two year old 1800 square foot bungalow to a two story, 50 plus year old house.

That's right we live by the town who boasts the biggest wooden beaver! Google it! That's hawt!

We moved on the coldest day of the year! -26!!!! The moving truck wouldn't start, so the movers had to bring two smaller trucks. They were only two hours late, but packed so quickly we were on the road to the new "old" house by noon.

Two days later the floor tiles warmed up enough for the dogs and I to walk on without wimping. The doggies don't care where we live, as long as they are with us and we keep a enormous supply of beef jerky they are happy

There is an abundance of wildlife out here, coyotes, owls, moose, deer, and most scary of all creatures MICE!!!!!!

I am looking into the history of the house. It was moved from Hythe, or Vahalla, to this 13.6 acre lot in the eighties? Placed on a basement, with the addition of a breezeway and garage, and change of the roofline to increase the area of the second floor.

The walls have two layers gip rock over tongue and groove rough boards. I have no idea how old it is or if there are more than one addition

The lady that moved the house is still in the area, and I should be able to get some info and a few pictures, I hope!

I'm really hoping to have a bit more interesting details soon.....
